The Minutemen take the field in an intra-squad game at 9 a.m. followed by a boy's youth clinic at 10:30 a.m., the Springfield Pride at 11:30 a.m., and the Westfield State Owls at 1:30 p.m. Admission is a donation of five canned goods. <b>Canned goods will also be accepted at the men's lacrosse office (248 Boyden Building) all of next week.</b>]]></description>

Zywicki was the offensive star with six points (all goals), scoring as many points as the entire Denver team. He also added three groundball pickups while Reid finished with one groundball. Reid was part of a defensive core which held a high-powered Denver attack to only six points, nine less than their regular season average of 15. It marked the first MLL Title for both Reid and Zywicki and for Reid it was second professional lacrosse title in the last two years; he won the 2007 NLL (indoor lacrosse) championship with the Rochester Knighthawks.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[UMass alums Jack Reid ('06) and Jeff Zywicki ('05) are set to play for their first Major League Lacrosse Championship after the Rochester Rattlers won a 16-15 overtime thriller over two-time defending champion Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon at Harvard Stadium. For the Rattlers, it marked the first postseason win in franchise history while it was the first playoff loss for the Barrage since they moved to Philadelphia from Bridgeport. Zywicki finished the game with a goal and assist while Reid was stellar on defense with three ground balls. They are set to face another UMass alum and current Denver assistant coach Bill Edell ('93) who led his Outlaws to a 13-12 comeback win over Los Angeles in the second semifinal matchup.          <description><![CDATA[UMass alum Kevin Leveille ('03) got the better of former Minuteman teammate Chris Fiore ('03) on Thursday night as Leveille's Western Conference squad defeated Fiore's East squad, 31-15, in the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game at Invesco Field at Mile High. Leveille got the West off to the quick lead, assisting on the game's first goal and scoring the second to give the jumpstart all the way to the team's All-Star game record 31 points. In total, he finished tied for the most points in the game with seven on three goals and four assists. Fiore was held scoreless, but did impress in the fastest shot competition at halftime, firing a pair of bullets that hit 106 and 105 miles per hour, respectively.]]></description>
